Work and play balance

Recently I have some time for myself and spent quite abit watching some korean dramas over the internet. Now I understand why many people like korean dramas, its more than just the scripts and the actors/actresses.

Honestly, some of the dramas have very good scripts and themes and explore into the inner self of the human beings. Of course, this is complemented with the good skills of the directors and the actors and actresses. Some of the dramas that I watched were not played by the already famous big casts but some of them turned popular after the dramas were played and even some of the scenes and props that were used for the shooting became a hit for holiday travellers! Marvelous!

Start a new journey

Just ran into an ex-colleague this afternoon while on my way back after shopping for some groceries. We were exchanging some words and asking about each other's well-being since it had been quite a while after I had left the job.

This ex-colleague was saying a good rest is essential before we take up a new journey (休息是为了走更远的路). I totally agree and in fact my personal experience speaks for it. I took up the last job (not on impulsion) but with some reservations which I thought I should not hold prejudices against some issues that I think it would be overcome given the time, communications, interactions with the people etc etc. But, I was proven wrong and should have remained on my first guts-feel impression. And a lot of time, the synergy is important, although by itself it is not the single sole determinating factor!

Anyway, it was an experience learnt and I have moved on from there......
